Asian Ganja Crew – Signal to Noise

For the past decade, AGC has been one of the finest masters of electronic music.Based in the industrial harbor of Aarhus, Denmark in a basement studio filled with old analog electronic instruments, the sound of AGC is an exploration of the relationship between man and machine.
Phuture music made with retro machines. AGC sounds like Underworld and Art of Noise took a time machine trip from the 90’s to the present, heard our music, got bored and went back in time to Jean Michel Jarre’s studio to make their own version of our sound (with a little help from a young Aphex Twin).
Jakob Løkke Madsen (as his mother calls him) had a steady rise to prominence in the international techno scene with his former moniker Jack Rock. With steady single releases through the 00’s on labels such as Treibstoff, TicTacToe, ArtiFarti and Archipel.
His first full album Hooligans was released on Cuatro Records in the summer of 2012, with massive support from DJ’s such as Richie Hawtin,
With a brand new sound, Jakob has left his old moniker. AGC (Asian Ganja Crew) explores the essense of electronic music and challenges the formulaic and somewhat predictable status quo of today’s dance music scene.
